The purpose of IBTM China Academy is to provide opportunities of appreciation and empowerment for MICE professionals through the dissemination and sharing of knowledge, so as to facilitate the upgrading of the entire industry.
ibtm® is the acronym of the Incentive, Business Travel & Meeting Exhibition under UK's Reed Travel Exhibitions. With a history of more than 35 years, this exhibition series is one of the largest and most specialized MICE exhibitions in the world. Every year, the ibtm® portfolio of events are held around the world including Barcelona, Mexico City, Beijing and Singapore.
The meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) industry in China and around the world has been severely impacted in the context of COVID-19. But at this moment, I don't want to use the cold data to prove the severity of this tragedy.
If we believe that everything has two sides—good or bad, then, after witnessing different "bad" situations, what can IBTM do as a specialized MICE exhibition?
How can we advance fearlessly while enduring the consequences of this unexpected catastrophe? The answer should be to change yourself. For that reason, we have launched the project, IBTM China Academy. We hope to provide MICE professionals with the most valuable empowerment platform that delivers the latest thoughts and insights of industry and interdisciplinary experts.
What we are doing is actually to see where the MICE industry in China and across the world will go after breaking barriers. But regardless of the process, we believe that the future will be bright as we believe that the core value of IBTM China Academy, which is people-oriented, can create more value.
